Our Organization

Limon Area Fire Protection District (Limon Fire & Rescue) is an all- volunteer fire based organization. Based in Limon, "The Hub City",  Limon Fire & Rescue began serving our community in 1912. We have grown to cover more than 400 square miles in both Lincoln and Elbert counties. We specialize in fire suppression, vehicle rescue, and community service. The fire department is  staffed with motivated individuals who seek a higher understanding of the fire service through  dedicated and specific training.  Our men and women come from many walks of life and backgrounds, but all share one goal:  To serve with integrity, courage, passion and dedication; and to preserve life, property and the environment.
